I’m sure by now everybody already has their favorite games in mind on the new Retro-Bit Generations. But we asked around the Retro-Bit office to see what some of our team members believe are the 10 Best Games we are excited to play on the console. See our compiled list and let us know if you agree!

 10. Super Noah's Ark 3D

What did our team members have to say about it?

“Okay, hear me out! A Wolfenstein-like game that has you putting animals to sleep (nap time! Not permanently) with your trusty slingshot. You get goats, monkeys, giraffes, and the works!

It actually has a 93% positive rating on steam too, very excited to have this game. See, now you want to go play it too. You’re welcome.” – Rich (Marketing)

9. Totally Rad

Totally Rad

What did our team members have to say about it?

Totally Rad really is totally rad (lol)! I later found out it was known as Magic John in Japan, so I’m glad we got the name we did or I probably would have not had the chance to play this game. The cover itself is amazing. But you get to play a magician that has to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend (not so rad). I liked that there was no need for power ups, you had everything you needed right from the beginning. It all depends on your skill at that point.” – Danny (Accounting)

8. Hoops

Hoops

What did our team members have to say about it?

“Hoops is my jam! The dunking animations should be enough to get anybody to want to play this game. The fouls can get a bit crazy, but you could just play around the world mode and show off your skills. If you want to play, I can show you my skills.” – Gilbert (Product Development)

 7. Kid Niki Radical Ninja

Kid Niki Radical Ninja

What did our team members have to say about it?

“Originally I just really liked the name. Kid Niki just sounded really fun. I think this should be included in the Top 10 simply because of how fun it is when you spin his sword and create a force field around you. Makes me feel powerful for that brief amount of time. And then I die haha.” – Caroon (Marketing)

6. Gun.Smoke

What did our team members have to say about it?

“Oh man… I get down on some Gun.Smoke! Seriously, I have a save file right now holding my progress in it on my Generations. Easily one of my favorite games that I am proud to say we are including. If you haven’t played this yet, you are in for a treat.” – Jessica (Sales)

5. Super R-Type

Super R-Type

What did our team members have to say about it?

“I spent so much time playing Super R-Type when I was younger! Great to play this again on the Generations! *wink wink* No but seriously, this is still one of my most favorite games even though I was never able to get past the second level. Maybe I can now?” – Andres (Product Development)

4. Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts

What did our team members have to say about it?

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is easily my favorite! The fact that you start back at the beginning once you THINK you beat the game just makes you want to try that much harder. At least that’s what I’ve been told because to this day, I have yet to beat the game. It’s still really hard.” – Leon (Marketing)

3. Ring King

Ring King

What did our team members have to say about it?

“I just found out that Ring King is my favorite game on the Generations! I’m a huge boxing fan, so I luckily chose this game first and I haven’t stopped playing it yet. I can’t beat Apollo but I’m pretty sure with enough practice I’ll get it down in no time. I can take one of these home right?” – Janet (Human Resources)

2. Holy Diver

Holy Diver

What did our team member have to say about it?

“This could possibly even go higher on the list actually, haha! But Holy Diver should be on the list nonetheless. What’s not to love about a game never released outside of Japan? Did we mention it’ll be released in North America for the first time on the Retro-Bit Generations?!

Shameless plug aside, Holy Diver is not only RIDICULOUSLY hard, it’s really fun. You can tell it was heavily inspired by 80s Rock and Metal music, and that just adds to the awesomeness. Not to mention it also feels like Castlevania. Play this when you get the chance!" – Kris (Marketing)

1. Knights of the Round

Knights of the Round

What did our team member have to say about it?

Knights of the Round will always be my number one game from this list. The only side scrolling beat-um up that actually had RPG aspects to it. A weird favorite is leveling up Percival so much that his hair migrates to his face haha. Make sure you always block, well if you want to be good at the game anyways.” – Ron (Sales)

That’s just our list, I’m sure you have a different one. So tell us in the comments below what your Top 10 Games are. It won’t be an easy list though with over 90 games to choose from. Good luck!
