POMONA, CA, September 17, 2019 -- IREM's gravity-defying battle to save the solar system blasts onto the Nintendo Entertainment System this November with both standard and collector editions of Metal Storm from Retro-Bit Publishing®, distributed exclusively by Innex Inc®. Named in the top 50 of best NES games of all time and a technical "tour de force" by IGN, Metal Storm is an intense action game where the mech hero -- M-308 Gunner -- takes the fight to the robot army by flipping gravity on its head. Both on the ground and ceiling, this innovative action-shooting game is filled with super-powered special weapons, expertly crafted level designs, and iconic boss battles.
First introduced in 1991, Retro-Bit confirms that this new Metal Storm release will be based on the original Japanese version, complete with a newly translated English script, higher difficulty options, and a brand-new cinematic introduction to the plot.
