SAVE THE WORLD IN THIS CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED SHOOTER!
Over 30 years ago, Gaiares was released for the SEGA Genesis® and Mega Drive consoles and it pushed the limit of what a console shooter could do. With over 10 minutes of anime-inspired cutscenes, a dynamic weapon system, massive bosses, and impressive graphics all crammed onto an 8 Mb cartridge. In this re-release, we've paid homage to its original release while also having the opportunity to speak to former playtester at Renovation Products, James Bunker who was featured in various ads for the game! Additionally, Retro-Bit will make a donation per purchase to the Video Game History Foundation in our mutual efforts for game preservation.

Inspired by both the Tektite Missle power up and the real-life mineral, this cartridge is compatible with original and most 3rd party SEGA Genesis® and Mega Drive consoles. This stylish dark shell hides a black circuit board that contains a 5-volt chip, gold-plated contacts, and beveled insert points.
Featuring the cover art of the original Japanese release as well as a collection of shots from the in-game cutscenes. It will keep your game box safe but also provide a nice eye-catching piece to your collection.
You'll receive the game with the red and black Japanese box art but if you flip the insert over, you will get the orange North American box art.
No matter what number you get, know that you're a proud owner of a true classic - especially with this as proof!
There's more to experience than just finding out what button does what. Here you can find out more about the story, the characters, the weapons, and enemies you'll face.
Do you know him? Well, prepare to know more. The face from the ads for Gaiares has some insight into his time at Renovation Products and what he has been up to since.
It wouldn't be right without bringing this classic back! Free with each order, this t-shirt might inspire some of you to strike the Bunker pose - tag us online if you do!
